Larry married the love of his life Irene on April 12, 1955 in Park, KS. They recently celebrated their 67th anniversary. They moved to Denver, CO for his career in terrazzo and brick laying. This led to a company business he formed with his brothers Harold and Leon. A serious fall in 1972 ended his days in the mason industry but his work ethic continued on. He kept busy in numerous projects and was always helping others.
He had a lot of different interests including off-road vehicles with trips to the Sand Dunes and Baja, CA and restoring a 1925 Model T. He was a big Nascar fan, attending many of the races with his sons. He and Irene loved to travel. They visited all but 3 states in the U.S. A highlight in his life was a trip to Rome in 2010 visiting the Vatican for the canonization of Brother Andre Bessette, his 5th cousin.
Family was very important to Larry. He loved spending time with the grandchildren and the grand-dogs. All family get togethers involved playing cards and monthly family game nights. Old Country Western music was his favorite. As a devout Catholic he was involved in Men's Bible studies and Adoration and never missed Sunday mass.
He passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family from complications of surgery.
