Laura Pruneau

Laura was born on July 25,1931 in Barre, VT. She and her husband, Arthur J. Pruneau were married in June 1952. During their 70-year marriage the Pruneau’s were blessed with four daughters and one son. Their marriage took them from Barre, VT to Schenectady, NY to Milwaukee, WI to Phoenix, AZ to Boston, MA and back to Phoenix, AZ. During these multiple moves Laura was able to obtain her real estate license and was a successful marketer of residential properties in the Boston area (4 years) and Phoenix area (31 years). Traveling was a favorite pastime and during her lifetime she journeyed to all seven continents. The trips to Antarctica, Egypt, South Africa, China, Tibet and Russia were highlights. She took great pride in her cooking and baking while endlessly exploring recipe books for new challenges. Her family will miss the “Sunday Dinners” and the traditional Christmas family celebrations.

Beloved wife of the late Arthur J. Pruneau, she is survived by her children, Christine (Matthew) Benac, Michele Pruneau (Joe Arambula) all of Phoenix; Mark (Tricia Tunstall) of Plano, TX; Leigh Pruneau (Brian Connor) of Santa Rosa, CA and Mary Beth (Whitney) Lesure of Bridgton, ME. Laura took great pride in her nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Laura was a lifetime member of the Catholic Church and served for years on charitable committees in Brookfield, WI (St. Dominic Parish) and Phoenix, AZ (Andre House and Desert Mission). Laura will be always remembered as a force of nature and may she find peace in the knowledge that hers was a life well-lived, that she was deeply loved and will be missed forever.

A funeral mass will be held at Most Holy Trinity, 8620 North 7th Seventh Street, Phoenix, AZ on Friday, March 8th at 10:00 AM. Interment will be at Hope Cemetery, Barre, VT.
