Louis (Lou) E. Smith, resident of Peoria, AZ, passed away on September 19, 2011. Lou was born in Holt County, Missouri on November 5, 1932. He served in the U.S. Army. He was an instructor for Navajo Skill Center in Crown Point, New Mexico. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years Mrs. Melody L. Smith; daughter Kathy (Jesse), grandchildren; Joye, Aaron, and Jessica, and eight great grandchildren. A public visitation will be held from 6-9pm on Thursday, September 22, 2011 at Phoenix Memorial Park & Mortuary 200 W. Beardsley Rd. Phoenix, AZ, with funeral services at 10:00 am on Friday, September 23, 2011 at Phoenix Memorial with burial to follow with military honors.
