

Louise was a Phoenix Arizona native, who was born in Phoenix on December 22, 1941 to Lewis and Isabel Rust.
She graduated from Phoenix Union High School in 1959 and Phoenix College in 1963 with a Home Economics degree. Loving to sew, she taught sewing to the blind and visually impaired at the Center for the Blind. She worked at Sears demonstrating sewing machines as well as Channel 5 TV teaching sewing techniques.
Louise was lovingly called "Rusty" due to her bright red hair and her maiden name.
Married to the love of her life, James (Jim) Murdick on May 1, 1964. They had two children, Richard and Robbyn.
A lover of animals, she always had dogs and cats. Added to the critters were Bruce the Goose, chickens, a donkey and mini horse. She fostered many animals that people dumped at their house.
Louise is survived by her husband, Jim, son Richard and daughter Robbyn. One Sister, Patricia Morris, a sister-in-law, Martha Negri and her husband Rich Negri, her Caregiver, Autumn, and many cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister Rebena Land.
Visitation will be held at A.L. Moore Grimshaw Mortuary, 710 W Bethany Home Road, Phoenix, AZ 85013, on March 10, 2026, beginning at 9:30 am.
A Celebration of Life will take place at A.L. Moore Grimshaw Mortuary, 710 W Bethany Home Road, Phoenix, Arizona 85013, on March 10, 2026, beginning at 10:30 am, with a luncheon reception to follow.
A Graveside Service will be held at Greenwood Memory Lawn, 719 N 27th Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85009, on March 10, 2026, beginning at 2:00 pm.
