Margaret L. McPherson

Margie McPherson, 69, of Phoenix, AZ was freed to sing and dance and walk again with her Heavenly Father on Friday morning, July 22, 2011. She was born October 20, 1941, in her father’s hospital in Onawa, IA. Margie was a loving daughter, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of Dove Valley Church and lived her final years at Christian Care – first at Oasis Assisted Living and then the Nursing Center where she received loving comfort and care. Among her favorite tastes were chocolate and Pepsi. She was a teacher aide, secretary, and beauty consultant. She square danced, played bridge, sewed, quilted, knitted, and crocheted. Margie is survived by daughter Brenda (Jeff) Schrader and son Ron (Leslie) Maxwell; grandchildren Nathan, Nick, Matthew, Kip, and Kaylee; stepsisters Marilyn, Karen, and Marcia. She was preceded in death by husband Mac, father Martin Harlan, parents Herb and Lucille McArthur, brothers David and Merrill. Visitation: Sunday, August 7, 5-8 P.M., Memorial Service: Monday, August 8, 9 A.M., at A.L. Moore & Sons Grimshaw Mortuary, 710 W Bethany Home Rd, Phoenix. Interment will follow the service: National Memorial Cemetery, Phoenix. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Margie’s memory to advance the cures for multiple sclerosis and breast cancer, or to hospice.
