Martha Brown

MARTHA ANNE BROWN of Peoria, AZ passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on February 9th, 2014. Born in Nanty-Glo, PA on June 14, 1922. Survivors include sister Eleanora Ciotti, brother Donald Ciotti and wife Betsy. Children and children-in-law: Linda & Izzy Urias, James & Betty Brown, Dennis & Debbie Brown. Thirteen Grandchildren: Christine Bartol, Dawn Mills, Daniel Russell, Richard Davis III, James Brown Jr, Joseph Brown, Debra Brown-Webb, Anthony Brown, Connie Brown, Timothy Brown, Elizabeth Skufca, Benjamin Brown, Melissa Williams. Thirty-one Great Grandchildren: Christopher Perez, Cory Perez, Nicholas Bartol, Crystal Watters, Tiffany Watters, Kaleb Watters, Trinity Davis, Kaelah Miles, Richard Brown, Colton Brown, Noah Brown, Cody Brown, Carly Brown, Emily Webb, Abby Webb, Bella Webb, Samuel Woo, Xavier Woo, Julianna Woo, Hailee Woo, Nathan Trevino, Genna Brown, Charles Brown, Bryon David Skufca, Anna Bella Bree Skufca, Devin Brown, Kaidence Brown, Sadie Vaughan-Brown, Hayley Vaughan-Brown, Hazel Williams, John Arthur Williams. Three Great Great Grandchildren: Aylah Watters-Books, Bella Watters, Aidan Brown.

She is preceded in death by her father Dominic Ciotti, mother Maria Concetta Ciotti-Bugie, brothers Robert Ciotti and John Ciotti. During World War II she supported her country by working in an ammunition factory. After moving to Texas, she married and later moved to Arizona where she began a career in the electronic industry. After retiring from Honeywell she began volunteering at senior centers that she attended. She loved to oil paint and painted an oil painting for each child and grandchild. She would have continued to paint but her eyesight dimmed.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Phoenix Memorial Park & Mortuary 200 West Beardsley Road, Phoenix, AZ 85027 on February 14th, 2014. Viewing 9am with services starting at 10am and graveside at 11am.
