Mary Dorothy Barton (Marchese) passed away March 5th, 2026. She was 55 and passed away surrounded by family at Thunderbird Hospital. Born in Brooklyn, New York, she moved to Phoenix with her son, Christopher, later meeting her future husband of 36 years, Carl Barton. Carl and Mary had one child, Sherri Barton, but were also graced by influencing the lives of the many, many children that Mary chose to foster and care for due to her generous heart. This great love never faltered or ceased even as she grew older and ill.
Mary is survived by her loving and dedicated husand, Carl Barton, who has been by her side since 1989, her son Christopher (Rachel) Aurelio, and daughter Sherri Barton. She is also survived by her siblings, Joanne (Kevin) Wright, Joseph Marchese the III, and Vincent (Amanda) Marchese; her 7 grandchildren, who she absolutely adored.
A memorial will be held on April 7th, 2026 at 1030am at Palmcroft Church at 15825 N. 35th Ave. Phoenix, AZ 85053
