Maryann Judith Thompson, age 76, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at her residence in Glendale, Arizona. She was born on March 9, 1944 to the late Elmer and Violet Radetzki in Davenport, Iowa. Maryann attended Davenport Central High School graduating class of 1962. She married Leroy Finke in Moline, Illinois; they later divorced. To their union were born two beautiful daughters, Kimberly Ann and Beth Lee. Maryann started her career as a Beautician; then worked part time in the retail sales industry for the remainder of her career while she raised her children. She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Davenport for numerous years before moving out of the area. In 1992, she married Tommy T. Thompson who was a proud retiree of the United States Army. They lived in several different states and abroad in Germany throughout the course of his career; and in 2003 he retired early so they could relocate to Arizona to become full-time grandparents. Maryann was very social; she enjoyed spending time with friends and family (particularly her grandchildren), dining out, playing cards, bowling, and listening to music. Maryann is survived by her two loving children, Kimberly Miller and Beth Nimmervoll and husband, Manfred; five grandchildren, Zachary, Wesley, Kelly Miller and Michael and Berit Nimmervoll; and many other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy in 2014; and her only brother, Larry Radetzki in 2019. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 1, 2020, at Shadow Mountain Mortuary, 2350 E. Greenway Road, Phoenix, AZ 85022. She will be missed by all.
