Dear family of Meda Slocum, I am sending this remembrance on behalf of Eddie.  He truly loved Meda, and often told me stories from his past regarding her and the family.  I know he will find comfort in the many lovely memories he holds so dear.  May our Lord, Jesus Christ, comfort you as you say goodbye to your dear Meda.

Alice, Hannah, and Butch, 
                                            The time has come again, so close, to say goodbye to another dear one. Alice, your Mom was always so sweet to all of us. The times, especially when I was still a kid when your Mom and Dad took us on the road trip to Cedar Point was so special. We didn't know Meda and Jerry very well, but they instantly made us feel like we had always been family. Each time we met up from then on was like that, they always made you feel so welcome. You said it so well, you have to live and love your best. All our parents showed us that so well in their later years. All our love to all of you.

I have the best memories of Aunt Meda and will miss her dearly.  I am so sorry for your loss.  Now, Aunt Meda, Uncle Gerald, Jerry and  Dad are together in peace.  Love and hugs to the family.

Meda was one of my favorite women. I thank her for allowing me to be in her life. Thank you for the wonderful cards and all the good times we had together in Ohio, Colorado and Arizona. Sail on Dear One. All my love!

My Mom held herself and others to the highest standards.  Mom lived a full and adventurous life graduating from Ohio University and going on to get her Masters Degree in social work.  My Dad, Jerry, filled her life with love, travel, and good food.  Mom loved her family dearly and baked the best peach pies in the world!  I will miss her cheery greeting of "Oh, Alice, it's you!".  I think of her now in the arms of her parents and running to greet my dad and brother.  I love you Mom.  I thank you for living and loving your best.
