Michael Randolph Cantelme

On Sunday, May 6,2018 Michael R. Cantelme,"Daddy Mike" a gentle soul, left us. Randy, to his brothers, and Mike to everyone else, was born March 12, 1945, to Salvatore and Kate Cantelme. He spent the first half of his childhood on a block in South Phoenix surrounded by family -- parents, grandparents, brothers, aunts, uncles, and about 20 cousins. It was an idyllic, Huck Finn boyhood. Strong as an ox, and a great athlete, he played all sports, but was particularly good at football and wrestling. The best day of his life, he met Helen, married her, and enjoyed 47 years of marriage and happiness. They were blessed with four children, Michelle, Jackie, Tim, and Tom, two daughters in law, Stephanie and Natalie, and grandson Austin. He also leaves four brothers Joe (Shelley), Pat (Sandy), Dave (Nicole) and Tom as well as dozens of cousins, and over 2 dozens neices and nephews,3 additional brother and sister in laws as well asmany, many friends. Mike joined the Arizona Corrections Department, and made a career in service to Arizona. He was very proud of his service. Caretakers include Helen,Jackie and Tom as well as Hospice of the Valley and Ryan's House. Visitation for Mike is Monday, May 14th, 1:00 with Services following at 2:00 at A.L. Moore, 710 W Bethany Home Rd. Phoenix. Donations can be made to Hospice of the Valley.
