Michael C Griffis

74, of Tempe, Az. passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on November 15, 2013. He was born in Dunkirk, NY in 1939 and moved to Phoenix in 1970 for better job opportunities. He was an Admission Representative for over 30 years and considered among “The Best of the Best”, in his field. Michael is survived by his devoted wife of 35 years, Glenn Ann Griffis, sisters Lydia (Mike) Seifert, Peggy Kleparek, Louise (Terry) Fraizer, sons Peter (Elise) Griffis, Tim Morgan, daughters Suzanne (Jim) Niemann, Tambra (Gil) Lopez, grand children Gabriel, Courtney, Dominic, Annsley, Kiani, Myori, Annie, and Ashley, as well as many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, Santa and Louis, younger brother Joseph, and nephew William Cybulski. Services will be held on Sunday, December 1, 2013 at 2:30pm at Carr-Tenney Mortuary, 2621 S. Rural Rd. Tempe, Az. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or your favorite charity in his honor.
