I always saw Mike as a dedicated family man. He was very smart and had to navigate the many strong personalities in our family while holding his own perspective.  That wasn’t always easy to do. I remember him giving me a ride on his motorcycle which I thought was great as a young teenager. He was someone our family trusted and loved. May God give peace and wonderful memories to Judy, Sherry, Kerri and their families in the days ahead.

Heartfelt love and condolences to the McConnell family. Judy was my children’s babysitter for many years. During that time, the entire family along with Mike held them, dried their tears and comforted them until I was there to get them. Mike and the entire family are the finest one can encounter.  My family and I were fortunate to experience the goodness of this amazing family. Mike was a pillar of strength to his family and their friends. I always considered Mike my adopted Big Brother and loved him dearly! As a small child, I was so excited when Mike would come home for a visit. I remember looking up at this very tall, handsome man in military uniform who would pick me up, throw me into the air, and always catch me. So much love and laughter shared during these visits and the memories we made will live in my heart forever!...I'm very blessed my big brother that you were part of my story!

we were so sad to hear about mike's passing.  he was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and such good friends to us and my parents. he was always so upbeat when he'd drop by and always a smile for us. we had great conversations with him as he did  his jobs we hired him to do. he was a perfectionist, and so responsible, and did great work for us.  i'm thankful for the times he just stopped by to check in on my parents to see how they were doing and they so appreciated him....such a thoughtful man. we will surely miss him.

Mike and I played a lot of golf. Neither of us were very good but we loved to go out after work (or occasionally sneak out early) or on the weekend. 
Mike was one of  my dearest friends and he will be truly missed by me and all those who’s life he touched

Mike was the first person I meet when I arrived in Phoenix in 1982.  On my y first day I was assigned to work with Mike.  From that very first day we became friend. Over the many years we worked together we managed to both work and have fun together. We played countless jokes on each other. So many fun stories I wish I could tell each one. After work we when had a opportunity present itself we would enjoy each others  others company, like this evening out at the ball park

Oh Mikey, Ritchey and I have known you for 45 years.  Your beautiful wife Judy watched our Children, Chris and Stephen..  what a wonderful life we had with the family we went on vacation to getter several I might say.  Every Thanksgiving we went to six flags riding roller coasters. The whole family. We camped.  Etc… You and Ritchey got up on Sundays and played racket ball i’m not sure who hit who the most but you both came home every weekend with welts on your back and telling stories about getting knocked out, but you both loved it so much.   To be continued.

Our family is surely feeling  a great loss with the passing of Mike. Mike was an intricate part of this family,always there to lend a helping hand and a positive uplifting g comment. I know our family benefited greatly from not only his wide range of expertise,but his total willingness to share those skills.  Mike was a kind and giving person,with all his family and extended family and his ond our friends. We are all guilty of gossip from time to time,and maybe we just missed it with Mike, but we personally never heard him utter a disparaging word about anyone. We will surely miss is kind and smiling face and I know that Judy and the girls and all their families will miss him terribly,  but we are all better for having known him and I hope he knew how much we loved him and how much we appreciated all he did for us.

It’s with a sad heart I say goodbye to my very good friend Mike.  A friend since 1981. Whether it was working, camping, golfing, riding ATV’s at Munds Park , or socializing we always had fun. It was extremely hard on me to watch his declining health. We all knew how difficult it was on him and the family.  Our Lord and Savior saw that the good old days were gone and suffering should end. He has moved Mike to a beautiful place where peace and joy abounds. He will be missed until we all join in that heavenly place.  Hit them long and straight with that BIG smile on your face. Mikey was always a  great guy  & wonderful  friend to us for over 40 + years  meeting at good ‘ole Honeywell.  We did  alot of fun things together during many of those years  and had many laughs —- we will definitely miss him!  
Mike loved his family so much and now will be a guardian angel to all of you!

My condolences one more time to the entire family. It is a huge loss to lose father, husband and grandfather. Cheri,  I did not know your dad personaly but by looking at how close your familly is and how much you love and care for each other - he had to be a real good man.

I am so new to this crazy family… A little over five years.  In 2019 I married the love of my life, Thom Fowler. Out of the clear blue all these people told us they were coming to our wedding. We didn’t invite anybody… Just out of love people appeared.!!!  Mike & judy were among the loving family that joined us on that special day.  He was Thom’s cousin, but Thom said he was always his brother!!!!!    The  best day ever that we will always cherish.!!!!

My memories of Uncle Mike come from the time I spent at my Aunt Judy's in home daycare as a young child. We had alot of fun during those times but of course we sometimes got into a little trouble. Aunt Judy would always threaten us with, wait until Uncle Mike gets home. The first time I was really scared because Mike was a tall man and waiting on the couch all alone for Uncle Mike to punish me was terrifing. Uncle Mike would come home form work and talk to Judy, and then come in and try to sternly warn us not to misbehave in the future. Fortunately for me, you could always tell he was bluffing because he couldn't really hide his kind nature. He was always very kind and fun to be around. I will miss seeing him when we have our large family gatherings in the future. My sincere condolences to everyone who loved him.

You are in a better place now no more pain. I will miss you. Bob & I shared many happy times with you and Judy. Our cruises were always lots of fun.   There were times when  we needed you so much & you always answered the call. You will surely be missed by all.  Your lovely family have many good & happy moments with you to remember always.

So sorry to hear about Mike. I have known Mike for 55 close to 60 years. We had some good golfing times and some not so good golfing times, haha.

Daddy. One of our most recent photos sitting on the porch in Fredericksburg Texas watching the sun set and the horses graze. Just one of our happy spots. I am the most blessed little girl. I never walked into the house or a room without your booming voice saying “she’s so pretty” a call out to the day you found out your planned beloved son to be named John Michael had really been a little girl. I always knew how proud you were of me and it has been my biggest driver in my life. I will love you as my first love to the end of time and beyond. Daddy’s Little Girl always. Love you.

Words cannot express how much I will miss you. You have taught me so much about life & love. There was never a doubt how much you loved your girls (Mom, Me, & Kerri).  The family road trips, singing in the car, watching Star Trek, teaching me about car maintenance, our time at Honeywell together, going along with the funny costumes, and many many family cruises together will always be great memories I hold of you. My Darling husband. I’m going to miss you more than anyone can imagine. The first time I saw you I knew I wanted you. It turned out you had the same strong attraction to me.
