Michelle Eileen Galan

Michelle passed away May 15, 2017, at 41 years old. She was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona and lived here all of her life. She is survived by her parents Mike and Jean Galan, her brother Tom, and sister Annette.

Michelle had an infectious sense of humor and a beautiful smile. She graduated from Mountain Sky Middle School and Thunderbird High School. She attended NAU and pledged the Pi Beta Phi Sorority with her best friend, Melissa. Michelle was a cancer survivor, but struggled with chronic and serious side effects from the chemotherapy and radiation treatments for the rest of her life.

Michelle loved animals, especially her cat Spaz. She loved books and reading – refused to own a Kindle – had to have a solid book in her hands. She was a WWII history buff and collected WWII and political memorabilia. She was a huge Hockey fan – loved the Arizona Coyotes and especially their Captain, Shane Doan.

Family meant everything to Michelle. She was always gathering information about both sides of her family. The history of the family was important to her and she wanted to know everything she could about the family’s roots. She will always be the baby of our family and will always be in our hearts and minds.
