My father...the one I knew. You had your own way of disciplining and taking care of me. Oh how I remember those endless lectures, but you taught me a lot through them. You did teach me discipline and recognizing when I made a mistake and to learn from that mistake and move forward. You were a good teacher. You led by example without probably even knowing it. I looked up to you.  I failed in telling you how well you did in raising me. Dad, I am sorry for letting you down. 
      
You have left behind three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

You will be missed, but the memories will continue.

Gil you were the most wonderful father-in-law a woman could ever be blessed with.  Your devotion and love for your family lives on today through your children.     You never needed the words I love you as the twinkle in your eyes and the sweet smile on your face said it all anytime you greeted me.  I will forever hold the treasured memories of you in my heart.  Love you to the moon.

I am sorry to hear that Gil Shintaku has passed away.  My prayers and my thoughts are with his family and friends.

Uncle Gil you were such a great person. When we met you 60 years ago who would of thought that Dad and Mom would make you a Italian. Sleep in peace.

Gil will be missed deeply, but he is in the best hands now God.  He will take great care of you. God bless everyone

Our family wishes to express our condolences. Uncle Gill always had some wise advice to share with me , as long as I was willing to listen...I appreciated his since of humor and always remember him...May God recieve him into eternal rest in his kingdom where there is no more sorrow...

The first time I met you was around the age of 8, and you welcomed me with open arms.  You made me laugh, and you told me good stories.  I never got to spend that much time with you, but you still showed me love, and acceptance.  I love you grandpa.  Sara Thomas
