Nevin Gabriel grew up in Delaware, Ohio with his parents Cap and Myrtle and his two sisters, Janet and Carol. He served in the Air Force for four years and received an Honorable Discharge. One of his fondest memories was of being stationed in England at the time of the Queen’s Coronation. He married Peggy (PeeWee) and they had three children: two daughters that died during infancy, and a son, Jeff. Nevin, Peggy and Jeff moved to Phoenix in the early 60’s, were Nevin work for the United States Post Office until retirement.
Nevin is survived by his sisters, Janet and Carol; his son Jeff and his wife Cathy; grandsons Jeffrey (Amber) and Jared (Tiffany); great-grandsons Nate and Xander and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind many friends that became family throughout the years. Everyone appreciated Nevin’s knack for jokes and storytelling, for having a good time Nevin was a much-loved man who will be greatly missed. He passed away peacefully with Jeff and Cathy by his side.
