Norma Pauline Hardwidge

85, passed away on September 4, 2010 following complications from surgery. Norma was born in Canton, Ohio on May 4, 1925 to Herb Winters and Verna Deetz Winters. Before retirement in 1980 Norma served as the clerk/treasurer of the Board of Education for the Dover Public Schools in Dover, Ohio. At that time she and her husband, Hughie, moved to Phoenix to be near their three grandchildren. She will be missed greatly by her family and the many friends she made throughout her life. She is survived by her husband Hughie; three children, daughters, Daline Tartaglio Gielen of Sun Lakes, AZ, Dana Hardwidge of Farmington Hills, MI and a son, Darris (Speedie), Hardwidge of Peoria AZ. Three grandchildren, Traci, Tricia, and Troy Tartaglio, four great grandchildren, Lexi, Alex and Blake Tartaglio and Bailee Dawson all of Phoenix and a brother Ray (Snooks) Winters of East Sparta, Ohio. A memorial service for family and only friends of Norma and Hughie will be held Tuesday, September 7th at 7:00PM at Shadow Mountain Mortuary, 2350 E Greenway Rd, Phoenix AZ. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E Flower St. Phoenix, AZ 85014 or to the Arthritis Foundation , Greater Southwest Chapter, 1313 E Osborn Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85014.
