A devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and faithful widowed wife — who touched every heart she encountered. She lived with a grace that felt heaven‑sent, and her open arms were a refuge for anyone who needed comfort, guidance, or simply a place to feel loved.
As a mom, she was the steady center of her family, raising her children with patience, strength, and a love that never wavered. As a grandma, she poured joy into every moment, creating memories that will forever warm the hearts of those she leaves behind. And as a wife, she carried her love with quiet devotion, honoring the bond she shared with her late husband Marvin E. Porter with every step she took.
Her presence filled any room — not with noise, but with warmth. She had a way of making people feel seen, safe, and cherished. Her kindness was effortless, her faith unwavering, and her love abundant. She lived her life with open hands and an open heart, offering compassion without hesitation and embracing others with a tenderness that felt like home.
Phyllis was proceeded in death by her beloved husband Marvin E. Porter and her mother Florence “Nana” Rollins.
She is survived by her three children: Randall L. Porter and his wife, Cindy Porter; Kimberly J. York; and Mark E. Porter. She was blessed with eight grandchildren — Tiffany J. Kendall, Amanda J. Butterfield, Jacob Porter, Cody Porter, Kelli Richardson, Joshua Bigar, Emily Porter, and Samuel Bigar — each of whom held a special place in her heart. She also leaves behind nine great‑grandchildren and two great‑great‑grandchildren, all of whom brought her immeasurable joy and carried forward the love she poured into her family.
