Porfirio Castano Robles Sr.

Porfirio was a devoted husband to Carmen Robles for 57 years, a loving father of 3, a cherished grandfather of 11, a great grandfather to 15, a sibling an uncle a brother-in-law and friend, and a true blessing to all who knew him. Born on July 20, 1938. He was raised in Santa Ana Sonora, he lived a life full of laughter, hard work, and selfless love.

Porfirio had a gift for making others feel seen and cared for. Whether through his warm smile, kind words, or the countless ways he gave of himself, he touched lives in ways words cannot fully capture. Family was his greatest joy, and some of his happiest moments were spent gathering family together every weekend, he loved riding horses in the mountains, he enjoyed carving things out of wood, he also had a green thumb in his garden of which he loved growing fruit trees and vegetables.

Those who knew Porfirio will remember him for his kind heart, generosity, sense of humor, strength, and the way he always put others before himself. He leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to guide and inspire all who were blessed to be part of his life.

Porfirio is survived by his wife Carmen his three children Maria, Angelina and Porfirio Jr., his eight grandchildren Christopher, Ciara, Breanna, Alyxandrya, Raven, Adaceli, Johnny, Roman, Porfirio, Nicholas and Jason. And his 15 great grandchildren and a host of dear friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts. He was preceded in death by his sisters Margarita and Maria Luisa his brothers Rene and Jose and his parents Maria Luisa and Porfirio.

A celebration of life will be held on September 26, following the services at 3:00 PM at Salon Imperial 5939 W Bethany Home Rd, Glendale, Az, 85301, where family and friends are invited to gather, remember, and honor the beautiful life of Porfirio Robles.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Wings of Hope Hospice for their love and support.

Though our hearts are heavy, we find peace in knowing that Porfirio is resting in the presence of the Lord and that we will see him again.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Greer-Wilson Chapel, located at 5921 West Thomas Rd, Phoenix, Arizona, 85033, on September 26, 2025, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. A Reception will follow at the same location from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
