I am cousin to Matilda and have very fond memories of church as a child and her entire family with her. Much love to her and her husband. Rest in Heaven.

I remember when I first met Matilda I had just started working at Ross and for as shy and quiet as i was she still managed to take time and get to know me she never judged me she always listened to me and understood were I was coming from that's the kind of person she was sweet caring always willing to hear you out and pray for you or your family when needed her love for her family her husband was unmatched she gave with all her heart and soul never asked for anything back. I thank you Matilda for everything I learned from you I love you for being a friend and in ways being a mother figure godbless you and may you and Ray be a peace 

I met matildas brother Victor in 1983. Our daughter was born dec 1986. The DeLaGarza family was always so kind n generous. Although Victors life was cut short in 1987, i continued to see Victors family . Big hugs to my Victor, nana n tata, louie n nati. Ray n Mati were always smiling n laughing. May they rip in peace. I am cousin to Matilda, never had the privilege to meet Ray her husband. I would visit her parents when they were still alive . I had not had contact with Matilda for awhile, until I join face book. We joined in conversations and prayers. I will miss her, I will be praying for her family, God bless you all  in this time of sorrow, for the Lord will comfort you with all His love .

Ray and Matilda were my neighbors of  almost 30 years, and were an important part of our community.  Their  pride was shown through the many flowers and plants Matilda so carefully tended.  Beautiful  smiles and a cheerful wave.  I will  miss them every day.
