I also had the fortune of having Mr. Dagger as a teacher at Jennings. He was one of the truly good ones, the one you will remember all of your life. May God bless the family during this time of loss.

I had the pleasure of knowing Dick for the last several years playing Bridge at the Pyle Center in Tempe.  An interesting comment from one of the players was that he always wore such beautiful sweaters and had great taste in clothes.  Another was that he always seemed so fit and tan for a man of his age.  The general concensus is that Dick was always up-beat, positive, and we never knew him to raise his voice or become angry about anything.  In fact we wonder if he ever "lost it" on the golf course!! I met Mr. Dagger a number of times back in my college days with Rich and will always remember him as a good-natured, humorous person. I can well imagine how much you will miss him.

I was very lucky to get to see you as much as I did over these last few months, but that doesn't compare to how lucky I have always been to have you in my life. You had a great run, joking till the end amusing the nurses at the hospital. I know you were ready to go, but you are a terribly hard person to let go of. Now it is our job to keep your memory with us. You are missed.

I was fortunate to have Mr. Dagger as a gym teacher in the Jennings Elementary School back in the 1970's.Although I was very young, he was one of the few teachers I remember well and always admired. He was a fine teacher and well respected.I am very sorry for the family's loss.

Mr Dagger, you were a kind and thoughtfull neighbor, I missed you since you first moved away a couple of years ago. My condolences to the family.
