Richard H. Holmes

Richard Hal Holmes passed away in Phoenix, AZ on September 29, 2011. Rick was born in Garden City, MI to Clara and Arnold Holmes. Rick and his parents moved to the Valley of the Sun when he was one year old. He attended North High School. After completing his military service as a paratrooper in Vietnam, in the US Army, Rick had a variety of jobs among which were in the trucking, coffee and security fields. He was an avid Arizona sports fan, great cook, grandpa, family man, coach for Clarendon Little League, Pack Master for Boy Scouts and a devoted member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Phoenix. Rick is survived by his adored wife of 15 years, Bobbi; his devoted children Julie Holmes, Tracy Rivera, Kevin Holmes and Tom and Terry Locke; 13 grandchildren: brothers Lee, Derald and Alan Holmes and his former wife Deborah Holmes. Rick was predeceased by his parents and brother Larry Holmes. A memorial service will be held Monday, October 3, 2011 at 7:00pm at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 4735 N 19th Avenue, Phoenix, AZ.
