Dewey was born in Kansas. The family relocated to Arizona when he was in high school. He met Margaret and they married in 1960.
Dewey worked in construction and thoroughly enjoyed planning and building. Tools were his treasures. If one was good, then several were always better. His kind, generous spirit permitted him great pleasure when he was able to use those tools to help others with projects.
There was nothing better than a gift card. He would spend them a million times in his head planning their use before actually making the purchase.
Everyone knows of his lifelong love of trains both large and small. Steam Engines were always a favorite. We hope you enjoy your memories of his stories to hunt down a train for a photo or a visit to a hobby shop for the specific train book with the exact set of plans for an engine or car. He would envision, discuss, and eventually build that dream.
Dewey requested that there be no services. If you would like to honor Dewey’s life, please plant a tree that will grow and thrive.
Always in our hearts.
