Robert "Bob" Osborne, 78, of Mesa, AZ, passed away October 24, 2014. Robert was born in Martin County Indiana on December 20, 1935, to the late Charles "Ozzy" Frederick Osborne and Mavis Lenora (Baker) Osborne. Robert is survived by his son James Osborne. Robert worked in various fields during his lifetime; first for Mercer's Mortuary starting in high school, then serving in the Army between 1954-1957. He later worked at the family businesses Magna Photography and Ozzie's Smoked Fish and was also a welder, telephone switch installer, and most recently worked at his own business Brake Stop until he retired. Throughout his life he enjoyed numerous hobbies including fishing, working on hot rods, riding motorcycles, hunting, trap & skeet shooting, riding quads, running radio controlled boats, and in his later years worked with stained glass.
Visitation and services will be held Saturday November 1, at Greenwood Memory Lawn Mortuary, with visitation from 1-2pm and the service starting at 2pm. Friends and family will be gathering at his son's home for refreshments afterwards.
In lieu of flowers, Donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association in Bob's name.
