He was born on September 20, 1938 in Elmira, NY, the son of Robert and Agnes (Coleman) Wheeler.
A graduate of the University of New Mexico School of Engineering, he served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam conflict. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the American Legion, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Mr. Wheeler is survived by his wife, Addie Wheeler, and brothers Richard T. Wheeler of Phoenix, AZ and John F. Wheeler of Highland Beach, FL. He will be interred at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.
