

Rodger John Hocking, 57, passed away unexpectedly in his home in Glendale, Arizona on Sunday evening, January 23, 2011. Rodger was born on June 2, 1953, in Nevada City, California. He is survived by his wife Karen, children Keith, James, Shawn, Marc, and Mallory, grandson Tyler, mother Helene, brother Stan, and sisters Irma and Dowlene. Rodger was preceded in death by his father Joe and sister Marsha. Rodger had a large extended family including his soon-to-be daughter-in-law Jessica Allen, her parents Debbie and Wayne, Brother, and her Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Rodger was a wonderful person who will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him. He had a remarkable personality and was so full of energy and enthusiasm. He made a difference in so many people’s lives and would go out of his way to help anyone. He was a truly loving husband, an amazing father, and a great friend to everyone. Rodger was one of a kind and we are all better off for having known him! At the time of his passing, he was full of joy and at the happiest point in his life. Services will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2011, at Paseo Verde Christian Church at 7569 W Greenway Rd, Peoria, AZ 85381. The viewing will be from 1pm-3pm and the service will start promptly at 3pm. After the service, please join Rodger’s family and friends as we celebrate his life.
