Ovela Kelly passed away on June 27, 2022. Ovela was born in Marshfield, Missouri on October 23, 1923. She moved with her family to Arizona around the age of 10 and lived in the valley ever since. She is preceded in death by her husband John L. and son Kenneth P. She is survived by her children Jacque Bosworth, Mike (Laura), David (Mari) and Chris (Lisa). Nine grandchildren John W., Michele, Brandon, Geoff, Alex, Taylor, John C., Ryan and Cale. Along with 5 great-grandchildren and daughter in law Dianna Kelly.
Ovela loved her baseball and was a Diamondbacks fan since the first pitch of the first game. She was also a longtime volunteer with Interfaith Cooperative Ministries and the Beatitudes Campus of Care.
The family thanks the kind and caring staff at Assisted Hospice and Friendship Village Care Center. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
A memorial service for Rose will be held Saturday, July 16, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at A.L. Moore-Grimshaw Mortuaries Bethany Chapel, 710 West Bethany Home Road, Phoenix, AZ 85013.
