

Our beloved “Gee Gee” has gone home to a joyous reunion with family and friends who made the journey before her. She was born Ruth Logeman, in Cincinnati, Ohio on January 2, 1921, the first child of Arthur and Rose. She married Clifford Aufderheide June 7, 1941. To their union one daughter, Rosemary was born. After the deaths of her parents and her husband, she made the brave decision to move herself and Rosemary to Mesa, Arizona. She later moved to Glendale and retired from a job at Luke Air Force base Commissary. Ruth leaves behind her daughter Rosemary and Son-in-Law Arthur Forsythe. Also three beloved granddaughters, Angela (Lars) Peterson, Mary (Todd) Franz and Wendy (George) Frederick, and seven Great Grandchildren, Adam (Jessica) O’Connor, Joshua O’Connor, Brett Peterson, Monique (Corbin) Tervo, Dawson Franz and Sarah and Ayrton Frederick. Also saying goodbye are Ruth’s Great Great Grandchildren, Alexis and Katelyn O’Connor, Ian, Noah and Lily O’Connor and baby Brooklyn Tervo. In Cincinnati, Ohio, Ruth leaves behind her sister Mary Boone and Sisters-in-Laws Mary Logeman and Eleanor Oeters and many nieces and nephews. Viewing for Ruth’s family is Thursday, 4:00 – 4:30 p.m. at Shadow Mountain Mortuary, 2350 East Greenway Road, Phoenix, AZ. Interment will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Cincinnati, OH next to her husband and near her parents. Please no flowers because of her journey home. If you want to celebrate Ruth, have a beer for her and toast all the laughter she brought and a life well lived.
