Ruth Ruama Levitt, 95 of Phoenix, passed away on April 8, 2012. Ruth was born on November 8, 1916 in Manchester, Iowa. Ruth Richardson Leavitt has seen amazing changes in our world. Her 95 years of life were full. She had great adventures traveling the world with her sweetheart, Milan. She was also a great mom, who helped her daughter, Judilyn learn to walk again after being stricken with polio. Ruth loved animals and supported many animal charities. One of her greatest joys was seeing the wild animals in Africa. She is survived by her daughter Judilyn Duba (Walt) and grandson Terrell Duba. A visitation will be held on Friday, April 13 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Greenwood Mortuary Chapel, 719 N. 27th Ave., Phoenix. Services will follow at the Chapel at 10:00. Donations in her memory can be made to Hospice of the Valley or the animal charity of your choice.
