Ruth Luna Sandoval

Ruth Sandoval passed away on October 28th, 2022 in Phoenix Arizona. Born in Iowa on July 4th 1920, she and her family moved to Los Angeles, California. In Los Angeles she met Paul and they married on December 12th 1942 in Arizona. The couple had two children, Victor in 1944 and Karen in 1958. Ruth and Paul remained in Los Angeles for many years until she was widowed in 1983.

Ruth kept house while also helping to raise her two grandchildren from Karen. A devoted family woman, she was loved by all. Ruth also kept the Catholic faith, attending mass every Sunday and staying devout throughout her life.

Having a full life of 102 years she is predeceased by her husband, Paul Sandoval and children, Victor Sandoval and Karen Shahverdian. Ruth leaves behind loving grandchildren, Brigitte Abalos, Yvette Sandoval, Yvonne Campbell, Deanna Shahverdian and Anayanci Shahverdian and great grandchildren, Alexander Abalos and Eli Campbell.

A visitation for Ruth will be held Friday, November 18, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Shadow Mountain Mortuary, 2350 East Greenway Road, Phoenix, AZ 85022. A funeral service will be held Saturday, November 19, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Shadow Mountain Mortuary.
