OMG. I just found out that Sandy  passed away. I am so sorry, we were very close for a long time. I used to spend a lot of time at her house after we would get off work. We worked at Maryvale Hospital together for years. We also spent a lot of time together on our days off. My prayers to all her family. Sandy was a wonderful caring person and she will be missed. Rest In Peace  my friend.  

There are so many good memories I have of Sandy it would be to hard to just pick one.  She always made me feel so welcomed. She had a big heart and a loving way about her. She took me into her family and I will always be grateful for that.  If it wasn't for Sandy I may never had been blessed with such a wonderful daughter, Micaela. 

Sandy you will be greatly missed.

You were so good to me always. Countless times I got to spend the night and the love and kindness you  and Rick so freely gave mean everything to me. I loved spending time with you and my cousins. Trisha David and Beanie.  I always thought of you as my Aunt. ❤️.
These past three years she and I had become so close and I will cherish her encouragement and kind words to me. Godspeed my sweet Sandy. 

Losing my big sister Sandy is a heartbreaking loss. She really was the person in our lives that made every negative event better, just by being herself. A brother couldn't have had a better defender, confidant and friend. When certain people pass away, they leave a very large void in the lives of those who knew  and loved them. Sandy is one of those people. God rest your loving fun soul big sister. See you again someday.


wow.  this is harder than I thought.  what do you say about the best friend ever.  she was my rock.  we laughed and cried together.  we have been friends for over 30 years.  we shared secrets and gossip and could make each other laugh.  always.  I can't picture a world without her.  see you on the other side friend

wow my dear friend I don't even know where to start.  we have been friends for 30 plus years.  we worked together for a long time. we had to same sense of humor and we dealt with death and sadness with our humor. she was a mirror image of me. we clicked the first time we met.  I don't ever do that.  I want to remember our funny times together.  we could give each other the giggles in the middle of a lecture with just a look.  here are a few examples of our fun times.  one time we were called to go up to the roof to meet a helicopter to receive and transport a patient to the ER.  it was very windy when it landed.  we did our job and went back to what we were doing.  she paged me and yelled at me for not telling her that her hair is a ridiculous mess.  all out of place from the wind..  I didn't tell her because if was more fun this way.  she was so mad at me.  another time we went to a funeral together.  it was her primary care doctor who was always telling her to exercise and take better care of herself.  we were sitting there with doctors and nurses when she whispers in my ear " he was always on me to take care of myself and he dropped dead running".  I started laughing then she did.  I tried to cover it up like I was crying.  we got the giggles.  there are so many memories of my dear friend.  she loved her family deeply.  she loved mine also.  we talked several times a week or sometimes several times a day.  she helped me when my mom passed away and through a difficult divorce.  she was always there.  we ended all our conversations with "I love you".  I know this to be true.  picturing a life without her is difficult.  I will never have anyone in my life like her.  see you on the other side friend

One of my favorite moments of my grandma is that we always used to laughed together. On her birthday I would always go to her house and say happy birthday before I go trick or treating and Halloween was always my favorite holidays because it was her birthday. She would always compliment my costume. My grandma was a the best grandma because she loved us all so much. She always made me feel very loved and I loved her very much. I will miss her forever. 

Oh my where do I start.  Sandy came into my life when I was a mere 12 years old, and throughout the years, I knew she was another sister that loved beyond imagination.  She helped our family when her Mother In Law passed away, she was a book of knowledge of just about everything, and I excepted her as the Matriarch of the family now.  She showed her intense knowledge when her brother in law Donnie passed away, again she was the pillar of strength and showed the love in her heart that was always there.  I will miss her phone calls, and I will miss the funny side of her.  and I will miss the love she had for everyone in her family.  Rest peacefully sister, will will be missed.  Forever and always,  your baby sister Renee`   

There are no words that can express the caring and loving women Sandy was and the impact she had on my life.   In my younger years she always made me feel so loved and part of her family, as if she knew how much i needed it.  I will forever hold those memories close to my heart.  This is hard for me to write because as it might  sound silly but I deeply miss her likes, comments and our private messages on facebook.  I still look for them, and they are not there.  She told me I was like one of her daughters and always told me she loved me, God only know what that meant to me.   I know in my heart she knew even when i was a child and into adult hood that I needed her kind words, acceptance  and love.  She was an angel to me.  The love she showed me,  I can only image the love she had for her family.  Sandy you will be deeply missed and are loved by so many.....my heart and prayers go out to the family.  You will forever hold a special place in my heart, rest peacefully ....until we meet again. 

Grandma was ahead of her time - she knew that high-waisted shorts would come back into style. That’s why she pulled our shorts up to our necks when we were younger. She would tell us to pull up our pants, but then she’d go ahead and do it for us anyway. We almost always went airborne because she was forcing them up so high. I’m sure all the granddaughters can relate. Kaitlyn and I were the only young cheerleaders for a pop warner football team who worried more about their buttcheeks showing than their midriffs when we would put our hands in the air. Even recently, I had to tell Micaela to fix her pants because they were pulled up way too high, and she made mention of the fact that this incident was purely a result of Sandra Reynolds’s influence throughout her childhood. Maybe it’s distasteful, but now every time I get a wedgie, I think of my grandmother. 
And although we could spend hours sharing silly anecdotes, I don’t think we will ever be able to fully encapsulate the woman she was. We will, however, take solace in the fact that her wit, her love, her strength, and her spirit will live on in each and every one of us. She was a woman who fiercely loved and defended her family, and she was the first person to brag about her children and grandchildren to anyone that would listen (or to anyone who was nice enough to pretend to listen).  In order to properly honor her memory, I urge each of you to continue living your life in a way that would have allowed her to brag even more than she already did. 

This is probably one of the most difficult things I’ve ever had to write. I don’t even know where to start. I wish my mom were here so I could give her a call on how to write something like this because she always had the answer to everything. 
For anyone who knew my mother, you knew she had a heart of gold. She taught me how to be strong, so I will try to be strong for her. On my long car rides home from work, just hearing her voice would make my stressful day fade away. Her voice calmed me, her smile warmed me, and being in her company will be completely irreplaceable. There is nothing like a mother’s love.
Mommy, I miss you. I wish I had more words, but it is hard to find them. I will love you for the rest of my days. More than you could ever imagine. Rest peacefully.


This is the continued memory. The first part is beneath this, but I hit the max length as there are too many words I have about my Grandmother.

Just as she passed down her strength and grace to her children and grandchildren, we will pass it down to the next generations. My kids will be well aware of the wonderful woman that was their Great-Grandma, Sandra Reynolds-Gertjejansen. They will hear of the hilarious stories, the important lessons, and the strong love their grandma had and passed down. I am so lucky to have had such a strong woman in my life, without her strength and kindness, I would not have the amazing mother I have. She, so gracefully, passed down her best traits to all of her kids. Lastly, I want to recognize the tremendous love she and my grandfather shared and will continue to share forever. Without them, obviously, none of us would be here, but more so, we would not have such a great structure and foundation for our happy family. That’s all she wanted, a happy family, and with my Papa’s help, she got one. Her memory will love on forever, and she is and will always be, our beautiful Mommy, Wife and Grandma. The love we all have for her is for forever and even after that.


My Grandma often told me that as much as she loved her three kids, being a grandmother was such a different type of love. I think to see her family grow so full and happy, made her world go round. Ever since I was little, my bond with my grandmother was indescribable. Our connection will remain unmatched for the rest of my life. When I was younger, my mom would wake me up early before she went to work and take me to my Grandma’s house to sleep. Then, we would wake up and my grandma would get me ready, pulling my pants up to under my chest, putting my hair into pigtails and wrapping the hair around the end of her brush to make one single ringlet, then send me off to school. Every day, I looked forward to coming back to her house where she would always be waiting for me with a PB&J, a glass of
milk and some Lays Potato Chips. She would work on my homework with me from time to time, I would pull the stool from the bathroom and set it beside the coffee table while she sat on the couch. Sometimes she would even make dotted letters for me to trace, I would always hope to acquire the pretty penmanship she possessed. As I grew older, the memories didn’t stop. She was my biggest supporter. Whenever I had a cute outfit on, my mom would send me right to Grandma’s where I would be told “Turn around… Let me seee!” Or when I began writing and expressing my interest in journalism, she waited eagerly for every issue of my school newspaper to see my work. She loved to hear my gossip. I always filled her in on my love life, my friends’ love lives, and I often snitched on other family members to entertain her. Any conversation with her was a good one. Though I may not have her physical presence with me any longer, she and the lessons she taught me will forever remain alive in my heart. No soul will ever match the kindness of hers, but it is fair to say we all will live our lives differently because we were touched by her. Just as she passed down her strength and grace to her children

Sandy will be missed greatly! She was always so kind and friendly to me and my family. My heart and prayers go out to all that are affected by the loss of this wonderful person.
