After a lengthy and hard fought battle with lung cancer, Thelma, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully with family at her side, in Phoenix, AZ., June 16th, 2015. She was preceded in death by her daughter Paula Maria Higginbotham. Thelma is survived by her husband, son, daughter-in-law, three sisters, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was born January 10th, 1941 in Pavo, GA. Thelma will be sorely missed by her surviving family, a large extended family and numerous friends. She was a Georgia country girl who fully enjoyed family and especially the many camping and fishing trips. We love and miss you already.
