

Tom was born on June 12, 1938 in Pittsburgh, PA to Helen Dlugosh Recker and Clarence Nicholas Recker. Tom served his country in the U.S. Navy for 20 years. He retired as a Chief Petty Officer in 1976 and has called Arizona home since then. After retiring from the Navy, he worked for the Department of Public Safety for 20 years.
Tom will be missed deeply by all of his family and friends.
Tom is preceded in death by his daughter, Kelly Jean Rubenstein, and survived by his wife, Gloria, of 67 years, and living daughters Luann McDonnell, Sherri Nelson, and Karen Bruno. Tom left behind a legacy of 4 daughters, 9 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and his surviving brother, Dave Recker.
Tom was a man of tremendous talent. He was an avid model ship builder, carpenter, mechanic, and fixer of all things. He was truly the dad everyone wished for. Tom was a very generous man and touched the lives of many.

A funeral service for Thomas will be held Saturday, July 13, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Phoenix Memorial Park and Mortuary, 200 West Beardsley Road, Phoenix, AZ 85027, followed by a committal service from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
