Velda Mary (Hickman) Harless passed on August 17, 2025 in the loving presence of her family. She was the youngest child of William T. Hickman and Olive May Bradsby and born in Fort Morgan Colorado in 1939.
She was preceded in death by her siblings; Emma Mae Baughman, Ella Loy Hickman, Gladys Ruth Hickman, William Theodore Hickman, Farris Irene Hickman, and her eldest son Kevin Scott Harless.
She is survived by her sister Olive Faye Thompson, her son Kurt Lee Harless, her daughter-in-laws’s, Mary Alice Harless and Brenda Lynn Harless, three grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
She is remembered as a strong, creative, capable and independent woman, an incredible mother, a matriarch to a growing family tree and a dear friend to all she encountered on her journey. She lived and died on her terms. Be at peace.
