Velma L. Bentley, 85, of Papillion, Nebraska, passed away on May 5, 2010. Velma was born on September 28, 1924 in Tupelo, Oklahoma to Mack and Estelle Romines. She was married to Jack B. Bentley on August 30, 1947 in Long Beach, CA. She and her husband retired to Phoenix, AZ in March of 1975. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents. Velma is survived by her brothers, Edward J.C. Romines and his wife, Romana of Oklahoma City and Jerry Dale Romines and his wife, Judy of Las Cruces, N.M., one sister, Alma Romines of Oklahoma City, nieces, Mary Ann Taylor and her family of Glendale, AZ and Sonya Huscroft and her family of Papillion, NE and numerous nieces, nephews and many special church family members and friends. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. with Funeral Services at 11:00 A.M. at Valley Pentecostal Church, 6602 North 51st Ave, Glendale, AZ 85301. Interment will follow at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorials may be directed to the Valley Pentecostal Church or Amazing Angels Hospice, 2216 North 91st, Omaha, NE 68134.
