I would like to send my thoughts and prayers to the family. I lived across the street from Howard till I moved in 2011. we shared many time talking outside. I was very surprised to get a call from a neighbor. so sad.

I lived across the street from an 18 yr old Howard Brunton in Scottsdale briefly in 1963/64 . We had a great time cruising and chasing girls, he had an Olds and then a nice 56 chevy. A great guy. I wonder if this is the same guy?

Howie was such a wonderful man.  I have many great memories spending time with him.  You will be greatly missed!  I recall some nights that Howie just continued to make everyone laugh and brought so much life to the party.  He was able to light up a room with his humor and wonderful personality.  Howie had an ability to bring out the side of a person that wanted them to enjoy life.  Howie,  You were always a pleasure to be around and I know that we will be able to see each other again and share some great moments in the future.

I was sorry and surprised to hear about Howard's passing. I became friends with Howie after he hired me at DES. I will remember the poker games and trips to his family's cabin. I was actually in Laughlin with Howie on the very day he learned how to play Texas hold 'em and from what I understand, he never stopped playing the game. May you rest in peace big guy.

Howie I miss you so very much, you were my dearest friend. We had such a good time car pooling and you were a very bossy co-pilot on my driving days, But why would it be any different from being in the office. When we had to pick up my granddaughter Hailey you always made her laugh and I have never seen her joke like she did with you, but that was you dear Howie a fun loving soul. May you fine rest and peace my friend. I love you now and forever.

Dearest Howie......thank you for the wonderful laughs & interesting memories! I am glad you were able to spend time in the Bay Area. Don't worry about your baby girl Deanna as our family will take good care of her!! Praying for comfort to all his kids whom we love as well!!

I will miss my man Howie, he was a good friend to have an interesting conversation with. All though he would give me a lot of flack about my team during football season. He was and still is a great man to me. R.I.P  my friend  for life  Howie. You made a positive impact in my life buddy love ya for that.

I am so saddened to hear of the loss of Howard.  I knew him for many years when he worked at DES for the State of Arizona.  He was always such a character - he always had a joke or a story to make you laugh.  Many people at DES knew him and are very fond of him.  He was a great guy - one of the best.  

My deepest condolences to Howard's family during this very difficult time.  Know that he was loved by many and that he will always be remembered with great respect and love.  And know that he is always with you.

Howie was the life of the party. I could always count on him to make me smile and laugh. I feel so lucky to have known such a fun and loving person. Howie may you rest in peace.

i remember a trip we made to utah togather 11hr drive and he talked all the way he would say do i talk too much and i said yes atleast i can turn down or off a radio but i can't fiqure out how to turn you off then we would just laugh and he would keep talking that was the longest 11hrs i spent in my life i will miss him i wish i could talk to him know
