Wayne was a WWII Veteran of the United Sates Navy and of the CCC. He was an electrician by trade and enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling. His hobbies were making turquoise jewelry, traveling to 48 states and Alaska, and telling stories about them. He had many adventures with his son Mark, such as rafting the Grand Canyon and salmon fishing in Alaska.
He lived in both Pine and Mesa.
Wayne is survived by his wife of 65 years Joyce, son Mark, daughter Gail Boyer, son in law Dick Boyer and daughter in law Camile Severson. He is preceded in death by son, Vietnam veteran, Dave Severson. He will also be missed by 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
A service with military honors will be held at 12:30pm on October 4th, 2012 at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona 23029 N Cave Creek Rd in Phoenix.
