Bill “Doc” was born on July 29, 1950 in Burlington, IA to Verdon and Betty Siefken. He graduated from Notre Dame High School in Burlington and Palmer Junior College in Davenport, then went on to graduate from Palmer College of Chiropractic, also in Davenport, IA. He moved to Phoenix, AZ in 1974 where he began his Chiropractic career, eventually starting his own practice, Westown Chiropractic in Phoenix. He served his patients for 47 years. He met, then married Linda on September 16, 2012 in San Diego, CA.
Bill impacted many lives with his caring and compassion, kindness, sense of humor, and playfulness. He was a loving husband to Linda, the “love of his life”, a dearly loved “Papa Doc” and playmate to his grandchildren, and filled the role as father and friend to his children. He is known by his patients and friends as always having a positive attitude and “lighting up the room” when he enters. He had an infectious sense of humor.
Bill was a diehard Iowa Hawkeye fan, but also loved to follow all collegiate and professional sports. He had a love for wine, cooking, grilling and was often the chef for family gatherings. He loved working out in the yard in his free time. Bill had a very deep faith and loved the Lord as evidenced by the many plaques with words of faith and encouragement displayed around his office and in their home. He had no doubt he would be in heaven some day.
Bill is survived by his wife Linda; his son Brandon (Yuko) Siefken-Japan, Stepchildren Chelsi (Tim) Foltz and Jami Garvin; his grandchildren Taro, James, Emmalyn, Lillian and Nicole; his sister Nancy Baugher and cousin Butch (Debbie) Schmeiser-Iowa
He was preceded in death by his parents, Verdon and Betty Siefken.
Memorials may be given to the Children’s Ministry of Saint Thomas More Catholic Church.
