

Cora Lee Nix Lark, 99, wife of the late James Dewey Lark, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, August 14, 2014. Mrs. Lark was born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late Ed and Nancy Estar Crenshaw. She was retired from Sangamo Electric and had formerly worked at Kent Manufacturing Co. Mrs. Lark was a member of Mountain Grove Baptist Church. Survivors include daughters, Shirley Batson (Carl) of Pickens, and Nancy Looper (Frank M. Jr.) of Dacusville , and Beverly Willimon (Phil) of Powdersville, sons, James Marcus Lark (Patty) of Greenwood and Larry Joe Lark (Judy) of Clover. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren and a brother, Alton Nix of Athens, GA. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Lark was preceded in death by a number of brothers and sisters. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 3PM Sunday, August 17, 2014 at Dillard Funeral Home in Pickens with funeral services following in the funeral home chapel at 3 PM. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens. The family would like to extend special thanks to Rosalee Stone and Pam Trapp for the loving care they extended to Mrs. Lark.
