Doris Cassell Durham Pickens, South Carolina Doris Cassell Durham, age 82, wife of the late Bill Gravely Durham, went to be with the Lord Tuesday April 12, 2016 at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Durham was born in Pickens County, the daughter of the late Dora Mae Chapman Cassell and James Denton Cassell.
Mrs. Durham graduated from Anderson Jr. College and Furman University. She retired from Pickens County Department of Social Services after 30 years and was a member of Pickens First Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter; Becky Durham Pearson (Jeff) of Seneca, one son; Danny Durham of Pickens, two grandchildren; Hayley and Hunter Pearson of Seneca.
Visitation will be Thursday April 14, 2016 2:30pm to 4:00pm at Dillard Funeral Home with chapel to follow at 4:00pm.
A private committal service will be held prior to the visitation.
Mrs. Durham was predeceased by her husband, parents, one sister Louise Cassell Watson (Grady) and one brother Huey Cassell (Julia).
