Mr. Douglas E Winchester

Mr. Winchester was born on March 26, 1938 to the late David Luke Winchester Sr. and Christine Evans Winchester. Doug was the proud co-owner of Boone's Creek Lumber Company and Winchester Brothers Lumber Company. He formerly served on the board of Six Mile Water District and First National Bank. Doug was a 50 year member of the Shriner's. He was a faithful member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. Doug was a hard-working man who loved to be outdoors and never met a stranger.

Doug is survived by his loving wife of 64 years: Donna Nelson Winchester; two daughters: Lynn LeClair of Sunset, South Carolina and Christle Ross (Rob) of Six Mile, South Carolina; five grandchildren: Audrey LeClair, J.D. LeClair (Abbey), Elizabeth Ross, Kathryn Ross and Daniel Ross; two brothers: David (Shirley) and Charles (Joan) Winchester; and three sisters: Patricia Wallace, Doris McEntire and Sharon Forrest.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Winchester is preceded in death by a son-in-law: Keith LeClair; and a sister: Sue Smith.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, June 20, 2022 in the chapel at Dillard Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Sunday June 19, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

Entombment will occur at Hillcrest Memorial Park following the chapel service.
