

Douglas Micheal Winkler, 66, husband of Dianne Elizabeth Dodson Winkler passed from this life Thursday, December 18, 2014. Mr. Winkler was born in Oconee County, a son of the late J. D. and Lucille Long Winkler. He was employed with Alice Manufacturing Co. and was a member of 5 Point Church. For over twenty years, Douglas was the voice of the Liberty Red Devils football team. He served in the National Guard. Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Dianne, of the home, sons, Tim Winkler (Erica) and Phillip Winkler all of Liberty, and daughter, Jenni Richeson (Kyle) of Easley. Also surviving are grandchildren, Tyler, Brandon, Hunter, and Jake Richeson, Caden and Josie Winkler and a foster grandchild. He is also survived by brothers, Ray Winkler of Westminster, Rodger Winkler of West Union, and a sister, Carey Hutto of Walhalla. In addition to his parents, Mr. Winkler was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Winkler. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 PM Sunday, December 21, 2014 at 5 Point Church in Easley with funeral services following at 3:30 PM at the church.
