Mr. Eric Stanley Hooper

Clinton SC- Mr. Eric Stanley Hooper, age 62, on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, received the call to go join the Lord in his room, in the house that Jesus the great carpenter, had finished and prepared for him.

Eric was born in Pickens, South Carolina, on August 31, 1962, to the late Wayne Hooper and Margaret Brittle. Eric enjoyed playing with his spinning tops, receiving arm and back rubs from everyone, looking at Southern Living Magazines, and being the shredder person at the Whitten Center in Clinton.

Eric is survived by his siblings: JoAnn Steinseifer (David), Kenneth Hooper (Gina), Brian Hooper, Sonja Green (Katrina), and Tara Johnson (Micah); nine nieces and nephews: Candace, Christine, Stanley, Amanda, Nicholas, Ariana, Derek, Chase, and Job; and numerous great nieces and great nephews.

The family would like to say a heartfelt thank you to the staff of unit 108 and the administration of Whitten Center, with a special thank you to Eli, Stephanie, and Christy.

A graveside service will take place at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Hillcrest Memorial Park, located at 2410 Gentry Memorial Hwy Pickens, SC 29671.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 to 12:45 PM in the Garden Room of Dillard Funeral Home.

Honorary pallbearers will be his roommates of Unit 108 at the Whitten Center.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in honor of Eric, to the Whitten Center, located at 28373 Hwy 76 East, Clinton, SC 29325.
