Mrs. Faye M. Powell

Mrs. Powell was born in Pickens South Carolina, on August 20,1941 to the Clarence and Elizabeth McWhorter. She was a faithful member at Secona Baptist Church until her health declined. Mrs. Powell worked for Cannon Hospital for over 40 years in book-keeping. She enjoyed watching Days of Our Lives and Dallas, going shopping, cooking for her family, and eating Hershey Chocolates. Mrs. Powell will be dearly missed by her "Lumps of Love" grandchildren.

Mrs. Powell is survived by two children: Wally Powell and Susan Clark (Michael); four grandchildren: Tyler Clark, Wesley Clark, Keli Grace Powell, and Aubrie Powell; one sister: Mary Porter (Sherman); two brothers: Fred McWhorter (Julia) and Earl McWhorter.

In addition to her late husband of 52 years, Wallace, Mrs. Powell was preceded in death by one sister: Inez Simmons; three brothers: Walter McWhorter, Hoyt McWhorter, and JW McWhorter.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday August 16, 2024, at 2:00 PM, in the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home.

A visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00 to 1:45 in the Garden Room.

Mrs. Powell will be entombed following the service at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
