Mr. Floyd Durham

Pickens, SC - Mr. Floyd Durham, 88, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2023 at his home, surrounded by his family. Floyd was born on September 18, 1934 to the late George and Ethel Patterson Durham. His loving partner, Geraldine Chastain often referred to as "Babe" or "Wendy" by Floyd , was faithfully by his side until the end, just as she had been the last 20 years. They made many memories together through the years by spending their time traveling, tending to the cows, enjoying frosties from Wendy's, and taking Gator rides. Floyd also loved the lake and watching Clemson football. Mr. Durham proudly served in the United States Army. Floyd retired from Ryobi after 40 plus year as a supervisor, and was retired owner of Durham Builders. He was also a member of the Cattleman Association. Floyd was a member of First Baptist Church Pickens, above all he was a Godly man of Christ. In addition to his loving partner, Floyd is also survived by his three girls: Sheila Beasley (Steve), Tammy Bice (Mark), and Tina Hendricks (Greg); as well as 5 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren who loved their "Papa Floyd;" siblings:Edgar Durham(Francis); Bonnie Masters; Evelyn Pelfrey(Roger); Mary Young(Coy); and several Nieces and Nephews. In addition to his parents, Floyd was preceded in death by his wife: Doris Durham; a brother: Monroe Durham; and a brother-in-Law: Wallace Masters.
