Jerry B Nix

Jerry was born on April 5, 1940, in Gaston, North Carolina, to the late Clyde B. and Essie Reece Nix. Jerry was a beloved father, great- grandfather, devoted husband, and faithful servant of Jesus Christ. He served faithfully in his church as a Deacon and Sunday School teacher. Jerry worked many years in quality control at local factories in the upstate. He loved woodworking, fishing, gardening, and raising chickens. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Jerry is survived by three daughters: Teressa Kelley (Roger), Beverly Hawkins (Brine), and Caryn Petratos; seven grandchildren;

ten great-grandchildren; and three siblings: Alton Nix, Charles Nix. and Joyce Brown.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his first wife of 58 years, Wendell Nix, and his second wife Katherine; and son in law, Tommy Petratos; and brother Ronnie Nix.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday February 25, 2026, in the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends prior from 1:00 to 1:45 in the Garden Room.

The entombment will follow the service at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
