Joyce Masters Hunter

Joyce was born and raised in Pickens to the late Clifford and Effie Masters. She was a devoted member of Mountain View Baptist Church and was very active within her church. She served as the secretary for Pickens Jr. High and later worked as a Typesetter for Martin Printing Company. She enjoyed shopping but above all she loved spending time with her family.

Joyce is survived by her daughter Patti Barger (Brian) of Pickens; son Brentlee Hunter (Belinda) of Greenville, TN; three grandsons Brian Barger Jr. (Taylor), Isaac Barger, and Jacob Barger all of Pickens. She is also survived by her sisters Blanche Markley, Shirley Stone, Elaine Henderson, and Susan Childress.

She is preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband Pat Hunter; brother Jimmy Masters; and her sister Linda Few.

A visitation for Joyce will be held Sunday, March 16, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:50 PM at Mountain View Baptist Church, 336 Mountain View Church Rd, Six Mile, SC. A funeral service will begin at 3:00 PM in the chapel with a committal service to follow in the Church cemetery.
