Travelers Rest, SC – Mrs. Karen Arlene Owen Winchester, age 67, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday November 26, 2021. Mrs. Winchester was born in Hampton, Virginia and was the daughter of the late Lewis Owen and Othalene McCall Owen and loving wife to Charles Gary Winchester.
Survivors in addition to her husband and mother include a son Michael Winchester (Melinda) of Travelers Rest, SC and two daughters Wendy Winchester of Pickens, SC and Tracy Warrix (Fred) of Six Mile, SC.. Also surviving are seven loving grandchildren and seven most precious great grandchildren. She is survived by brothers Keith Owen of Saluda, NC and Kenneth Owen (Betty) of Travelers Rest, SC..
Mrs. Winchester was a loving woman who loved her family, loved to travel and music. She would listen to any kind of music and loved to hear her husband "Gary" sing. Mrs. Winchester had many friends and was never one to judge. She was loved by everyone. She was skilled at playing darts and was a member of the Upstate Dart League. She enjoyed doing crafts. She was of the Baptist faith and member of Westwood Baptist Church Easley, SC.
A chapel service will be held at Dillard Funeral Home on Tuesday November 30, 2021 at 3:00 PM 2402 Gentry Memorial Highway Pickens, SC 29671 with a visitation preceding the service starting at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow the service at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
