Born on February 26, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Sam Mathis and Lilly Mae Mathis.
Katherine loved fishing and found so much joy in spending time with her two monkeys, Lilly Mae and Cookie Doodle. She was a loving wife, mom, and grandma who treasured every moment with her family, especially her grandkids and great-grandkids, who meant the world to her.
A visitation for Katherine will be held Tuesday, April 29, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at Dillard Memorial Funeral Home, 2402 Gentry Memorial Highway, Pickens, South Carolina. A funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM with a committal service to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
