Mrs. Margaret Eula Huey Loftis, age 91, of Easley, South Carolina, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 23, 2026. Born on April 21, 1934, Margaret lived a long and faithful life marked by love for her family, her church, and the simple blessings God placed before her.
Margaret was the devoted wife of the late Earl Ansel Loftis, whom she loved dearly. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Ara Huey and all of her brothers and sisters — Ruby Ramey, Lucille Freeman, Catherine Suter, Jo Pace, Ray Huey, Doyle Huey, Cecil Huey, Ed Huey, and Jim Huey — and was the last living member of her generation.
She leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory, including her daughter, Rhonda Loftis Love and husband Gerald Love of Fayetteville, Georgia; and her son, Mitchell Earl Loftis of Easley, South Carolina. She was a proud Mama Margaret to Paige James and husband Travis James, Daniel Loftis, and Megan Adcock and husband Kevin Adcock. Her greatest joy was being "Mama Margaret" and “Great-Yaya” to her great grandchildren: Katherine Banks, Brandon James, Lincoln Adcock, and Charley Adcock.
Margaret loved nothing more than reading her Bible, attending church, and spending quiet time tending to her garden. She found happiness in watching things grow — whether it was her flowers, her vegetables, or the generations of family she helped raise. She was known for her steady faith, her gentle spirit, and the unconditional love she showed to everyone around her.
Though her family’s hearts are heavy, they find comfort in knowing she is now at peace with the Lord and reunited with those who went before her.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 12:30 p.m. at West View Cemetery, 205 N 2nd St, Easley, SC 29640.
A visitation will occur prior at Dillard Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., 2402 Gentry Memorial Hwy. Pickens, SC 29671.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
