Marvin Allen “Skeeter” Drawdy, 52, passed from this life Tuesday July 24, 2018 in Pickens. Born in Brooksville, Florida, he is the son of Gail A. Wilson and James G. Wilson and the late Laverne Drawdy, and husband of Melony Drawdy.
Skeeter was the owner of Pinnacle Drilling and Blasting and of the Baptist faith and served in the United State Marine Corps, Skeeter was also an avid hunter.
Survivors are , his wife Melony of 32 years, his mother and step father James Glenn Wilson and three children; Cory Drawdy and his wife Reba of Easley, Cody Drawdy, Tia Drawdy both of Pickens, a brother; Laverne “Buster” Drawdy , two sisters; Sarah Ann Drawdy, Anita Kay Carson and her husband Alan. Mr. Drawdy also leaves three grandchildren; Relania Drawdy, Dante Drawdy and Michael Drawdy. Mr. Drawdy is predeceased by his father, grandparents; Hallie and Norris Knighton and Rose and Thomas Drawdy.
Visitation will be held Friday July 27, 2018 5pm until 7 pm at Dillard Funeral Home. Service will be held in the Dillard Funeral home Chapel Saturday July 28, 2018 at 3pm. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Pickens, S.C.
